As part of its WWII commemorative series, Auto-Ordnance this week unveiled their Custom “Squadron” 1911 pistol.
Made to look like American fighter planes from the Second World War, e.g. P-40 Warhawk, the Squadron 1911 features unforgettable “shark mouth” nose art on the muzzle and the Army Air Corps insignia on both sides of the slide, along with an engraved rivet pattern over the gun.
The pistol is chambered in .45 ACP, comes with checkered wood grips displaying the U.S. logo and a seven round magazine. The finish is a worn black and gray Cerakote.

*** I am very sorry Dear Readers, but I am NOT a fan of the 1911 Pistol. So do not be surprised when I say that this 1911 in the get up is one really ugly puppy. That & if it was my dog. I would shave its butt & teach it to walk backwards. Grumpy***
