Now I freely admit that I am one cheap SOB. But then I have to be since my Pension does not even come close to my expenses some of the time.
So one of the things that I learned is to pick up my brass and take it home from the range. The reason why is that is the brass itself is pretty valuable.
I myself either sell it to one of my gun shops that I patronize. Or I trade it for other stuff.
Why should you pay more for going to the range than you have to? It is like throwing away money in my mind.
