In celebration of providing firearms to its customers since 1870, Marlin has produced a 150-year anniversary edition of two of its iconic rifles. The first is, of course, a large-bore lever action.

Gold adds contrast and class to the dark bluing.

This limited edition lever gun is only available in .444 Marlin, with beautiful C grade walnut stocks. The buttstock has a curved pistol grip, with classic checkering on the grip and forend to provide stability to the hold the hard-hitting 444 in case anyone ever wants to shoot the beautiful rifle.

The receiver and bolt are both decorated with wonderful engraving, and the receiver has contrasting gold inlay. The 24” half-octagon barrel has a classic look and is adorned with a Skinner ladder sight. All the metal is finished in a deep, deep gorgeous bluing.

The custom shop helped design the celebratory 444 Marlin.

The 24” barrel should give increased velocities to the heavy 444 slugs. The 444 Marlin has a six-round tubular magazine reaching the length of the barrel.

Beautiful finishing on the wood and metal.

The anniversary gun is only available through 2020, with an MSRP of $1,899.

The other 150-year tribute gun is the venerable Model 60, a. 22 LR semi-auto. This happens to be the same model as my first rifle decades ago and it’s still popular today.

Model 60 in stainless may last another 150 years.

The Model 60 has a 150-year medallion embedded in its standard grade walnut stock and has a stainless finish on the receiver and barrel. The anniversary Model 60 has an MSRP 0f $399, and is available now, but only through this year.
