Guess what I rented at the local Pistol Range – A Review of the M&P 9mm

Now I have just had back surgery a month or so ago. And no I am not fishing to sympathy or stuff like that!
But I digress. Anyways my Lovely Wife was kind enough to take me to the Local Pistol Range.
The Firing Line Indoor Shooting , 1060 N Lake St, Burbank, CA 91502  (818) 954-9810. It is  a great place and I most highly recommend it. If you are in the area.
Anyways since I have gotten terribly lazy lately. I have gotten into the habit of renting a pistol. So that I do not have to clean it afterwards.
So this time I elected to try old the new S&W M&P. Now to begin with an honest statement. I am NOT a fan of Black Guns. I.E. Plastic Guns.
As I think that they are as ugly as sin and with just the same amount of soul. Yes I do believe that Guns have souls.
Now to start with the good news. The gun is fairly accurate for such a lightweight piece. Also I liked the 3 dot sight system on it. As I got a fairly good pattern with it.
As to the bad now. I did not like the grip on it. As it felt fairly uncomfortable with my fair size paws. Also the magazine was a nightmare.
In the 50 old years of shooting experience of mine. I have never seen or dealt with a harder to reload magazine. As I almost broke my thumb trying to get any of the 10 rounds that the magazine held.
Now I have pretty strong hands even now in old age. But I shudder to think what would happen. With a shooter with less hand strength than mine in a combat situation or range competition.
Anyways that’s my thoughts on this matter! Comments from anybody out there? Grumpy
