A Winchester (Pre 64) MOD. 70 Pre-War 24 Inch Barrel Original Very Caliber Mfg. In 1942 in the Old School caliber of .250-3000 Savage

Now if this fine Old rifle was mine. I would hustle over to the computer asap. In order to check to see what kind of stocks for a Model 70 were up for sale. As this stock on this looks mighty tired is in need of replacement to me.

Now I have found over the years. That I have found quite a few great looking factory original stocks for sale. Which were quite reasonably priced at least for me.
(In that I think the most I ever spent was around $300 bucks. which was for a very high end 1903 Sporterized Springfield stock. Where the wood grain looked like very expensive fudge.)
Then add in the price of my gunsmith putting it on properly. So at worst, I am at the most out about another $100 or so. But the expense is well worth it!
Comments anybody? Grumpy
